The Invisalign Process

1

Consult & Treatment Plan

You’ll get started with a consultation with Dr. Cline with a thorough assessment of your teeth, gums, and overall oral health to determine if you are a candidate for Invisalign. We may take a digital scan of your teeth to plan your personalized treatment plan. And with digital smile technology, you’ll be able to see the results before you even start!

2

Aligners

You will receive your custom-crafted aligners and we’ll provide instructions on how to get the most out of your treatment. This includes wearing them 22 hours a day, removing for meals, and gently cleaning them every night. Generally, you will come back every 6 weeks for your fresh set as your teeth gently move into alignment right before your eyes!

3

Renewed Smile

Depending on the severity of your misalignment, treatment can take up to a year or less. It may take longer if you have severe orthodontic problems, but we’ll let you know throughout your check-ins. Be sure to follow our instructions to get the most optimal results in the shortest amount of time.

Look at that smile! After your final check-in, you’ll go home with a straight, renewed smile. We will provide you with retainers to ensure your smile stays straight.

FAQ

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

The duration of Invisalign treatment can vary depending on the complexity of your case and your goals. In general, Invisalign treatment typically takes between 6 to 18 months, with the average treatment time being around 12 months.

Additionally, outcomes depend on other factors such as your age, the severity of your orthodontic issues, your overall oral health, and how often you wear your aligners. Your Springfield dentist can give you a more accurate estimate of how long your treatment is likely to take based on your individual needs and goals.

Can anyone get Invisalign?

Invisalign is a popular orthodontic treatment option for many patients, but it may not be right for everyone. Your suitability depends on several factors, including the nature and severity of your orthodontic issues and your overall oral health.

Invisalign is most commonly used to treat mild to moderate cases of malocclusion (bad bite) and crooked or crowded teeth. It can also be used to address certain bite issues, such as overbite, underbite, and crossbite. However, Invisalign may not be recommended for more severe orthodontic cases, such as severely rotated or tipped teeth, significant jaw alignment issues, or large gaps between teeth.

In addition, it is important to have good oral health before starting Invisalign treatment. If you have untreated tooth decay, gum disease, or other oral health issues, we may recommend addressing those issues before starting Invisalign treatment.
